GC in Leipzig
I'm going to be in Leipzig for three days of the GC. If any of you are going, why not drop by the Anaconda booth - Halle 2, Stand F40. I'll be there on Thursday 3pm and Friday 4pm for a presentation and signing session.
The rest of the time I'm going to be in the business hall at the DTP stand, F40.

So on Wednesday afternoon I went to the dtp booth in the business center.
(The following was in German, of course ;) )
Me: "Hi, I don't have an appointment, but I'd like to say hello to Steve Ince."
The desk woman: "To whom?"
"Steve Ince."
(looks at me suspiciously) "Never heard that name."
"The designer of 'So blonde'. The game over there. Look."
(angry voice) "I know that game."
"He's the designer. He's here. Probably he's showing it to some press guys or so."
(glances at some list on the desk) "Never heard that name. I can't help you."
"Whatever ..."
Now, if life really was an adventure game (the dialogue was strange enough to suggest it) I would have set fire to a nearby booth and distract her, then sneak behind her back. But I guess Martin would not have been very happy about that ... ;)

I'm dreadfully sorry about that. It actually confirms a suspicion that I had that some of the booth staff weren't as well briefed as they should have been. There were a few occasions where my appointments didn't appear to turn up, so this could actually explain it.
I'll mention it to the DTP publicity department.
