Praise for my Game Writing Book
“It's a substantial, informative, entertaining, and, in many ways, enlightening read. I'm particularly impressed by how you manage to cover all aspects of game production - and the writer's role in the process - in great depth and with great insight, but without losing yourself (and the readers) in microscopic detail.” – Martin Ganteföhr, Game Designer and Writer
I must admit to being very nervous about the whole idea of people reading my book, but when someone like Martin, for whom I have great respect, comes out with the above, completely unsolicited, it does my heart good.

Said it already, but have to say it again. A published author, your first book - well I think it's grand! Well done Steve. :)
The book has so much to praise, but what I liked the best is its accessibility. You write with such lucidity. Someone said to me that they were getting the book, though they hoped they could understand it. I told them that anyone, even if they just want to get the sense of what goes on in game writing, and how the whole of its parts works together - this book is for them. Nothing high toned or industry-speak about it.
Again - well done. So when are you going to take it on the road or perhaps offer up a class/ lecture hmmm :D
Thanks Laura.
I'm glad that you found it accessible as this was my intention from the start, so it's good to know that my aims were met.
If I'd written a book about writing and then hadn't written it in a clear manner I would have been defeating my purpose. :)
