Mr. Smoozles - Approaching 250
I've just posted the 243rd Mr. Smoozles strip, so as you can see we're rapidly approaching the 250th installment. Stefano and I have already started planning something special and what was going to be a single bumper strip marking the event now looks as though it might spread into one or two more. So look out for more news and for the strips themselves when they appear.
On a connected note: I hope that you're enjoying the current storyline. It's growing rapidly with each new development and twist creating a snowball effect and giving me more ideas. So far there is no end in sight, which is, I think, how it should be.

Writing Awards
The Writers Guild of America announced last year that it would be creating a new award aimed at game writers. More recently it announced the shortlist, amongst which was the game The Witcher. But because I am not a member of the WGA or its New Media Caucus I was not included in the list of writers nominated.
Now, I have nothing against the other talented writers who were nominated, but it seems like the WGA are taking my share of the credit and alocating it to the writers who are their members. I realise that the awards are for their members, but in a world where we all thrive, professionally, on our credits, this seems a little wrong.
If my work had been less significant I wouldn't even give it a a second thought, but as I edited and re-wrote over 90,000 words of dialogue I think that my contribution is not something that should be glossed over.
I don't expect this post to change anything, but I felt like letting off a little steam (in a polite way).

Mr. Smoozles Goes Nutso - a new review
I love the internet! Just when I thought interest in Nutso was waning, along comes this incredibly good review of the game. The reviewer appreciated it in all the ways I could have hoped for.
"The game will get pretty engaging over time (being chased by a cute orange cat with a huge gun can get pretty engaging). The script is peppered with witty repartee and well, just plain insanity. And although the elements of the story are crazy, they're interwoven in a way that makes sense (does that make sense?)."
(Sorry I haven't been posting much lately.)
