No GamesCom for me this year

For the first time in quite a while I won’t be attending the annual shindig in Germany.  Previously held in Leipzig and then in Cologne last year and this, I always thoroughly enjoyed attending and meeting up with some of the wonderful people I know.

So, if you were hoping to catch me for a chat about game writing in whatever context, I’m sorry that I can’t make it, but the pressure of work is a little too great at the moment.  I’m sure the event will be just as good without me, but I’ll certainly miss you all.  Have a great show!

Hey Steve, greetings from the show. (We all miss you here!)

  2. Hi Martin, that’s kind. Is it as insane as always?

It’only Thursday, and the show’s just opened the gates fo the public. From what we’re seeing now, things are going to be double as insane as usual by Saturday… 🙂

  4. Who on Earth thought that letting in the public was a good idea? 🙂

Are you there for the whole show?

Have you seen any exciting adventure games?

  5. There weren’t many adventure games at the GamesCom this year, certainly less than last year which was already a step back (adventure-wise) from the GC Leipzig… Did get to meet Martin & Ragnar at the adventure-treff meet on Friday – I bet they don’t remember me though 🙂

  6. I certainly got that impression about the reduced numbers of adventures.

It’s always a shame not to have the chance to catch up with Martin, but I’d love to have met Ragnar myself as we’ve never had the opportunity to meet previously.

  7. Well Ragnar did say he enjoyed himself so much he’ll certainly be back next year 🙂 Hope you’ll be able to make it then.
