Steve Ince understands that gameplay takes priority and will work with that in mind at all times. With fifteen years of development experience, he always ensures that the solutions provided match your requirements exactly.

Whilst attempting to be as comprehensive as possible, the solutions covered here are not an exhaustive list. Client's needs will vary greatly and only a detailed discussion will determine the solution that best meets your requirements.
 

Editorial consultation

A very high-level service that involves the reading of existing documentation and write a report on potential weaknesses, offering suggestions for better clarity and dynamic presentation.
 

Documentation writing and editing

A natural development of the above solution is for Steve to work with your team to write or edit your documents directly.  This solution is best served at a time when your development staff are fired up by the creation of your exciting new game.
 

Story development

From the simple story that acts as a thread on which to hang the gameplay levels, to the deep, rich story that's fully integrated into the gameplay, a whole spectrum of narrative requirements present themselves to the developer.

Steve is able to offer different degrees of story development that fit the needs of your project.  How the story works in your game must fit with your unique vision and we will ensure that this is paramount.
 

Dialogue writing and editing

As one of the most up-front aspects of a writer's work, it is vitally important that the dialogue for your game is as strong as possible.  Steve ensures that not only is the quality high, but that it matches the mood and style of your project.

Working closely with your team enables the proper context to be established for each scene and extensive experience means that a complete awareness of the interactive nature of game dialogue will prevent problems with dialogue logic.
 

Actor scripts and schedule

Following on from the above, the preparation of scripts for actors and helping the voice director with the recording schedule could be a natural extension of the writing and editing process, having experience of this on a number of occasions.

If required, I will be on hand during recording to assist the voice director, ready to address unforeseen problems immediately.
 

Design consultation

A project's development team can sometimes be too close to the design to see it objectively. An externally created report that takes an independent look at the whole design may well help you to focus on strengthening your excellent ideas.

This could be done in conjunction with the Editorial Consultation mentioned above.
 

Design development and brainstorming

This solution means a much deeper involvement of working with your design team.  From thrashing out the high-level logic flow - that could interweave with the story - to brainstorming ideas for gameplay scenarios, mechanics and gameplay levels, the design process could be intensified.
